Multan: Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has been assigned the task to rehabilitating 57 parks falling under its administration, a news source quoted PHA Multan Director General Ali Akbar Bhatti. Bhatti shared this information with news media during his visit to Qila Kuhna Qasim Baagh.
Sharing details on the PHA’s plans to rehabilitate these parks, Bhatti said that improvements carried out under this project will soon become apparent in Qila Kuhna Qasim Bagh and Ibn-e-Qasim Bagh. He also issued orders to the people concerned regarding plantation.
He further added that not having a permanent office of its own in Multan even after four years of PHA’s inception is a major concern, and he is looking to sort the matter as soon as possible as this will also save money otherwise spent on paying rent for the office space.
Sharing his plans on the rehabilitation of parks and green spaces in the city, Bhatti said that rigorous arrangements will be made to ensure cleanliness in parks and greenbelts. In order to ensure that his instructions are being thoroughly followed, Bhatti will pay regular visits to the parks.
He also made the presence of Park Registrar and Inspection Registrar mandatory at the parks and also said that the gardeners taking the day off without prior notification will be suspended.
