Gujranwala: Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has decided to annually lease out the city’s 300 illegal parking stands, a news source reported. A committee has been formed, headed by Deputy Director Administration and Finance.
According to details, more than 300 parking stations haven been established in educational institutes, hospitals, government offices, and on a number of important roads in the city. Fee is charged for parking vehicles at these stands.
In order to shore up its income, Commissioner/Director General PHA Asadullah Faiz has decided to legalise and then lease out these parking stands. The project will be executed in two phases. In the first phase, the parking stands on GT Road will be leased out, while in the second phase, the stands in the rest of the city will be legalised and leased out.
