Islamabad: The PHA (Pakistan Housing Authority) plans to build flats in various sectors of the capital for low-income groups. In this regard, a construction policy has been developed which would be sent to the Prime Minister (PM) Mr Nawaz Sharif for approval.
According to PHA’s plan, four-storey apartments would be constructed in Islamabad for overcoming the increasing demand of housing units among low-income groups including low-grade government employees.
On the directions of the federal government, the PHA has started working on two residential projects in Sectors I-12 and I-16. PHA has also acquired land from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for the development of high-rise apartments in these sectors.
