Rawalpindi: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has started an environmental drive in Murree to enhance the cleanliness and verdant beauty of Murree, according to news published on August 21.

PHA Director Sheikh Tariq Mehmood underlined the collective responsibility to create an environment suitable for the upcoming generations. He expressed his views at the tree plantation event with Ufone. The occasion was graced by the presence of officials from both PHA and Ufone, who actively participated in the tree plantation campaign.
Addressing the gathering, Director Mehmood highlighted the substantial number of saplings that were carefully planted along the Murree Motorway, with the campaign’s initial thrust occurring at Khajut.
Murree stands as a highly favored tourist destination within the country, and this afforestation campaign is poised to contribute significantly to the ecological sustenance of the local landscape. The expanded forest cover not only aids in reducing carbon emissions but also adds to the innate magnificence of the region.
