According to PHA authorities, 50,000 soil balls will be planted along a 14-km length of Nullah Leh, which will be extended to the Soan River. According to the officials, this is a one-of-a-kind planting method that is utilised all over the world.
Furthermore, it was stated that each soil ball contains 3 to 4 seeds of locally produced plants such as cactus, mango, pine, and mulberry. As per PHA employees, the banks are fertile and will be luscious green once the trees sprout.
Aside from beautifying the banks, the trees will offer clean air to surrounding households and lower the temperature.
Separately, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Chairman Tariq Murtaza announced on Sunday that the Nullah Leh dredging operation from Katarian to Murree Road will be completed by June 30. He also stated that the cleanliness work was underway and that garbage was being thrown out of the city.
