Lahore: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has issued tenders in a bid to outsource two of the 11 parking stands in Lahore, a news source reported.

The authority plans to take back control of parking stands of all 11 big parks from the Lahore Parking Company (Lepark). This new policy is line with PHA’s efforts to generate additional revenue.
PHA, on the directives of its Vice Chairman Hafiz Zeeshan Rasheed, has issued tenders for outsourcing parking stands of Central Park Kalma Chowk and Baradari of Kamran Mirza, which is a summer pavilion.

PHA previously used to bear operational costs of parking stands run by Lepark. This new policy of outsourcing these stands will become the authority’s direct source of income.
