Lahore: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Multan has plans to set up a themed restaurant in the historical Qasim Bagh Fort by utilising railway coaches, according to news published on January 14.

As per the details, South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary (retired) Captain Saqib Zafar has asked the Pakistan Railways Chairman Zafar Zaman Ranjha to provide three coaches for the setting up cafes in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur. It was mentioned that a railway coach was given to set up the Green Café at Qasim Bagh Fort in Multan. The coach has been placed in the fort and will be decorated as per the environment and needs. The PHA has been provided with the task to complete the project.

Moreover, the Green Cafes are being established, keeping in mind the liveable city concept, where entertainment and environment will be made favourable for business meetings. A PHA spokesperson (whose name was not disclosed) mentioned that the authority is planning to establish restaurants in the parks of the city in order to facilitate the citizens.
