Multan: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has initiated its work on the beautification projects of five intersections in the city, a news source reported. As per officials, the departments concerned have completed the design work for the beautification of Northern Bypass, Choongi No 9, Kachehri Chowk, High Court Chowk, and Fawara Chowk.

According to sources, the said authorities will transfer the design of the project to the PHA on September 30. Once PHA receives the design work, it will begin the physical beautification work on an immediate basis.
As per the project design, the PHA will install sculptures/statues of prominent personalities at these intersections. Sources have also revealed that the PHA would complete this project with the in collaboration with affluent individuals.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has released the funds for the upgradation of the sewerage system in Multan. Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Sahu said that the provincial government had released PKR 400 million for this purpose.
