Peshawar: Bank of Khyber (BoK) and Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to extend the housing finance facility under the “Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar” scheme to the residents of PHA flats in Jalozai, Nowshera, news sources reported.

Under the scheme, the citizens would get a PKR 0.3 million subsidy on flats.
BoK Managing Director (MD) Ihsan Ullah Ihsan and the Director-General of PHA Nadir Khan Rana signed the MoU. The ceremony was attended by the provincial minister of housing Dr Amjad Ali, secretary housing Syed Muhammad Ali Shah and head of banking consumer finance Aif Naseem.

According to the reports, through this scheme citizens will be able to get a financial facility of PKR 1.95 million on a 10% down payment. Additionally, the bank will provide low markup financing at 3% for the first five years, 5% for the next five years and 2.5% plus Kibore for the remaining 10 years.
