Multan: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has approved a new design for the Multan Food Street, a news source reported. A Lahore-based private company prepared the food street’s design.
For up gradation and beautification of the food street at Qila Kuhna Qasim Park, the PHA has requested allocations worth PKR 400 million from the Punjab government. In this regard, the officials have sent a written request to the executive. Reportedly, work to beautify shops at the food street has already been started.

The PHA sources claim that the Multan Food Street will be developed as per international standards where the local and international tourists will be offered local cuisines. The authority expects the provincial government to release the funds by the end of October after which the tenders will be invited.

Reportedly, the government is also keen to launch the project on a priority basis and, as per officials, the Qila Kuhna Qasim Bagh Food Street is expected to meet its opening deadline in January 2020.
