Gujranwala: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has granted permission to residents for hosting private gatherings and functions at PHA- administered public parks in the city, a news source reported. Citizens can pay PKR 15,000 and procure PHA NOCs for holding their functions.

The PHA Chairman S.A Hameed Advocate shared this information with citizens during his visit to various public parks in the city. The PHA announcement now clarifies that people cannot hold private functions in following parks without the approval of the authority;

- Tikoni Park
- Madni Park
- Ghousia Park
- Aqsa Park
- Siddique Akbar Park
- Satellite Town Park in Block B
- Muslim Park
- Allah Hu Park

The PHA has also announced that those using park for private functions without procuring PHA’s NOC will be penalised. The PHA chairman also announced that the authority is also planning on inviting tenders from restaurants and those in food business to set up their food stalls at public parks in Gujranwala.
