Multan: Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) Chairman Aijaz Hussain Janjua has said that the preparation work for planting 100,000 trees during the year has been completed, a news source reported.
He added that 200 trees had been planted in Shah Shams Park and Zakariya Park. He also expressed his determination to implement Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of a ’Clean Green Pakistan’.
The chairman was speaking during a session held to mark the completion of the plantation drive in Shah Shams Park. He urged citizens to take active part in the Clean, Green Pakistan’s plans and PHA’s plantation drive.
He said efforts will be made to promote greenery in schools, colleges, and other institutions of learning. Plantation drives will be introduced there as well.
He further informed that local trees were being prioritised in the plantation drive.
