Peshawar: The prototype bus for Bus Rapid Transport has reached Peshawar for its first test in the country, according to a news report. This prototype has already been tested in China, and is similar to 155 such buses which will run on the main routes of this project.
These are hybrid buses, and are expected to run on both diesel and electricity. Being environment-friendly the carbon emissions of the city are expected to go down by 31,000. All buses will have Wi-Fi, and Universal Access System. The project is being carried out by TransPeshawar, a company set up under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984.
