Peshawar: The residents of Gulberg have appealed to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Director General Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Syed Zafar Ali Shah to restrain builders in the city from dumping construction materials on the area’s roads, according to a news source published on October 16.

The residents of the Gulberg locale have expressed concerns over the unchecked construction and encroachments plaguing the main road, which causes undue problems for the commuters on a daily basis. The dwellers have maintained that they have already complained to the local administration, but no visible results have yet come out of it.

The locals of Peshawar Gulberg revealed that the situation had been persisting for the last few years, ever since the construction of high rise buildings had been initiated in the area. They stated that thousands of people used this road daily, and that the footpath and road was cluttered with construction materials that were impeding their path.
