Peshawar: The TransPeshawar company recently revealed that over three million commuters have used the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service since its inauguration in August, according to a news source published on September 15.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had inaugurated the BRT back on August 13. In the month since the launch, some three million commuters have used the service and over 450,000 Zu Cards have been distributed among the city’s residents.

Furthermore, TransPeshawar issued a statement claiming that the third generation BRT services run 16 hours a day and that additional buses are used to cater to rising passenger counts.
Meanwhile, an investigation is underway regarding the fire incident that affected two BRT buses. The company has requested for public cooperation in their efforts to resolve the matter.
