Peshawar: Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has decided to launch a new Express Route (ER-12), between Shah Alam (Charsadda Road) and Hayatabad Mall, according to news published in the leading newspaper on January 9.

Initially, 12 buses will ply the new express route from January 10. The news source mentioned that a fleet of 62 buses has arrived for the bus service. In the coming weeks, more buses will be operationalised on this route.
As per the details, the said route will have 12 stops in total, which includes Lande Sarak, Sewan, Khyber Bazar, Hayatabad Mall, Shaheed Tehseen Chowk, Bakhshu Bridge, Shah Alam Bridge, Charsadda Adda, Peshawar University, Bacha Khan Chowk, and Saddar.
As per the details, ER-12 is the first of five new routes that TransPeshawar plans to announce. The details of the other routes are as follows:

- Chamkani to Malik Saad Shaheed through Ring Road (DR-4B)
- A suburban express route from Pabbi to Malik Saad Shaheed through Chamkani (SER-13)
- Regi Model Town to Tehkal Paayan (DR-14)
- A feeder route from Mall of Hayatabad to Phase 6 terminal via phase 1 (DR-11)
