Peshawar: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has asked for the reconstruction and expansion of mosque at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar, according to a news report. Director Planning and Development of the CAA Nadir Sahfi Dar said that a board of officers has been constituted, which had recommended the demolition of old buildings, except the mosque. Therefore, the mosque was being reconstructed to provide three times more space for worshippers with full renovation.
Dar also highlighted that the overall expansion of the airport was being carried out in full swing. The airport is to be inaugurated next month with two passengers boarding bridges, four lifts, and newly-installed escalators providing international standards for the passengers.
