Karachi: The Sindh Transport Department has operationalized a new route – Route No.5 – for the People’s Bus Service in Karachi, according to news published on July 27.
As per the details, Route No. 5 will start from Star Chowrangi to end at Shaan Chowrangi. The main stops will include KDA Chowrangi, Liaquatabad No. 10, Nazimabad Eid Gah, Civic Centre, Essa Nagri, National Stadium, Korangi Road, Karsaaz, Nursery, KPT Int., and FTC.
It is pertinent to note that in a recent meeting, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed the operationalisation of new routes of the People’s Bus Service. Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon revealed that the transport department is rehabilitating roads before opening the routes to the public. He went on to say that the remaining routes will be made operational soon. Currently, five routes of People’s Bus Service are functional.
