Hyderabad: The Sindh government is ready to launch the People’s Bus Service for women in Hyderabad this Saturday (February 18), according to news published on February 13.

Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon announced, during a press conference, that arrangements have been made to launch a women-only bus service for the first time in Hyderabad. Recently, the provincial government has launched a women-only bus in Karachi in a bid to optimise the public transport network in the province.
As per the details, the pink buses will ply the route leading from Model Colony Malir to Tower through Shahrah-e-Faisal. The minister disclosed that the buses will run every 20 minutes during working hours in the morning and evening. He added that for the rest of the day, the buses will operate after every hour.

Initially, four pink buses will operate on the city’s first route. Each bus has the capacity to accommodate 50 passengers with 24 bench seats and two seats allocated for passengers with special needs.
