Hyderabad: Sindh Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon inaugurated the Peoples Bus Service in Hyderabad, according to news published on November 20. Hyderabad will be the third city where the Peoples Bus Service will be operational after Karachi and Larkana.
The launch ceremony was held at Hyder Chowk, from where the bus started its first intra-city journey to Hatri. The Peoples Bus service will operate on the Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas route and later, more routes will be added in Hyderabad city. The minister stated that development projects for road and infrastructure, worth billions of rupees, have been planned for Hyderabad.
As per the details, the bus service will charge a fare between PKR 20 to PKR 50 and will offer free rides on the first three days. The news source mentioned that the bus service will be launched in Sukkur in December.
