Karachi: A hundred more buses have arrived from China at Karachi port on Tuesday (June 28) for the Peoples Intra-District Bus Service (PBS), news sources reported. The buses will run on seven routes in Karachi in the coming two months.

Sindh Information, Transport and Mass Transit Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon uploaded a video of the buses arriving at the port. He added that the government is committed to providing Karachiites with the best commuting services possible. He also announced the impending launch of the Red Bus Service and Orange Line for Orangi residents. In addition, he stated that the government has made headway in establishing a bus manufacturing plant to produce buses locally. It is worth noting that the Sindh government has launched PBS on seven routes in Karachi to improve the city’s public transportation infrastructure.

The seven planned routes are as follows:
- The 33-kilometre-long route from Nagan Chowrangi to Singer Chowrangi (Korangi Industrial Area)
- The 32.9-kilometre-long route from North Karachi to Indus Hospital (Korangi)
- The 30.4-kilometre-long route from North Karachi to Dockyard
- The 29-kilometre-long route from Gulshan-i-Bihar (Orangi Town) to Singer Chowrangi
- The 28.9-kilometre-long route from Mosamiyat to Baldia Town
- The 28.2-kilometre-long route from Surjani Town to PAF Masroor
