Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Thursday (November 10) approved four development projects worth PKR 17 billion, news sources reported.

The projects were approved at the PDWP’s 26th meeting, which was presided over by Planning and Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal. The following projects were approved with orders to prepare Project Concept-1 (PC-1):
- PKR 70.101 million has been approved for the feasibility study of ‘Smart City Lahore Phase-I’ (PC-II)
- PKR 4.604 billion have been approved for the establishment of Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology, Lahore

- PKR 5.697 billion have been approved for the strengthening of the Punjab Tianjin University of Technology, Lahore
- PKR 825 million has been approved for the integrated Farms Development in Punjab Barani Tract by ABAD
