Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved nine development schemes totaling PKR 18.76 billion, according to news reports on December 21.

The schemes were approved during the 35th meeting of the PDWP presided over by Planning & Development (P&D) Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal. The approved schemes include:
- PKR 7,285.422 million for the construction of 47-kilometre-long road from Lahore Ring Road to Kasur Bypass via Ladhekay, Rao Khan Wala & Gaggar Village
- PKR 5,304.465 million for rehabilitation and Improvement of Saggian Road, Lahore
- PKR 1,791.542 million for land acquisition for construction of road from Lahore Ring Road to Kasur Bypass via Ladhekay, Rao Khan Wala & Gaggar Village

- PKR 1,111.094 million for the construction of an underpass connecting Babu Sabu Intersection with Tallat Park, along with the dualization of the existing subway across Motorway M-2, Lahore
- PKR 872.516 million for the Provision of Overhead Pedestrian Crossing Facilities on Different Locations in Lahore
- PKR 788.999 million for the widening of the road from Tibbi Morr, MM Road to Chor Wala Morr, Sargodha Road via village Chor Wala, District Mianwali
- PKR 589.793 million for the upgradation of Main Barki Road from Lahore School of Economics (LSE) to BRB Canal Bridge
- PKR 521.187 million for the improvement of an 11.25-kilometre-long road from Tuti Bun Chowk to Bhagwal, Chakwal
- PKR 502.320 million will be spent on road rehabilitation of a 21-kilometre-long waterway from Piplan Harnoli Road to Degree College Kundian, as well as the Thal Canal, in Tehsil Piplan and District Mianwali
