Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Tuesday (October 4) approved nine development schemes worth PKR 16 billion for the current fiscal year, news sources reported.

The approval was issued at the Punjab PDWP’s 16th meeting in Lahore. The following development projects were approved during the meeting:
- PKR 1.022 billion has been allocated for the improvement of Sahiwal-Arifwala Road to Harappa Bypass via Malan Shah Chowk in Sahiwal
- PKR 4.23 billion have been allocated for the rehabilitation of the road from Sahiwal to Pakpattan
- PKR 1.45 billion for the rehabilitation of Pakpattan Kamir Road
- PKR 2.199 billion for the rehabilitation of the road from Pakpattan to Marlay Chowk
- PKR 441.7 million has been set aside for the rehabilitation of the road from Hamber to Bhabra in Mandi Bahhudin
- PKR 558.4 billion for the rehabilitation of the road from Gojra to Qadirabad

- PKR 692 million has been set aside for the construction of a parking plaza at DHQ, Multan
- PKR 2.366 billion has been set aside for the construction of bachelor accommodation and Judicial Rest House at Dharampura, Lahore
- PKR 3.03 billion has been approved for the improvement of Sheikhupura-Hafizabad road via Hiran Minar Interchange M-2, and Waris Shah Darbar Jandiala Sher Khan
