Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday (January 4) approved four development projects, with an estimated cost of PKR 3.861 billion, news sources reported.

The projects were approved in the 38th meeting of the PDWP, presided over by Planning and Development Board Chairman Dr Wasif Khurshid. As per the details, the meeting took stock of the ongoing development schemes in the province and ordered the early completion of the projects and full utilisation of the allocated funds. The following projects were approved by the meeting:
- PKR 483.330 million has been allocated for the construction of a Judicial Complex in Kamalia, Toba Tek Singh
- PKR 558.168 million has been allocated for the reconstruction of residences and allied structures in the Canal Colony Sulemanki Barrage
- PKR 1.314 billion has been allocated for the construction of a bridge and approach road to the parking of Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, Rawalpindi
- PKR 1.505 billion has been allocated for the rehabilitation of old bulldozers for sustainable land development work to ensure food security from 2021-2022 to 2022-23

It is important to note that the current government of Punjab has so far released and started schemes worth PKR 249 billion in the first 6 months, one of the highest for the given amount of time.
