Rawalpindi: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has given its approval for the development of three uplift schemes pertaining to the agriculture sector, the irrigation sector, and Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education (SHC&ME), a news source reported.

As per the publication, the provincial body made this decision during its 25th meeting of the current fiscal year 2019-20 — with Planning & Development (P&D) Board Chairman Habib ur Rehman Gilani presiding over the session.
The meeting approved the following projects:
- Construction of Dadhocha Dam, Rawalpindi at a cost of PKR 6,493.263 million
- Land acquisition to establish Model Markets in Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan, and earth filling and construction of boundary wall at a cost of PKR 1,048.203 million
- Expansion of the C.P.E Institute of Cardiology, Multan and construction of new OPD at a cost of PKR 3,266.909 million

The provincial body approved all the projects at an estimated total cost of PKR 10,808.375 million.
