Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) recently ratified six uplift schemes under various sectors for several cities throughout the province, a news source reported. As per the publication, the development costs for the said schemes are estimated to be PKR 4.930 billion.

The PDWP approved the development schemes in its 39th official meeting for the Financial Year (FY) 2019-20. Planning and Development Board (P&D) Chairman Hameed Yaqoob Sheikh chaired the meeting. Senior officials of the department including provincial secretaries were also present in the meeting.

The PDWP approved the following development schemes:
- Development of academic block of Nawaz Sharif Medical College for PKR 726.054 million
- Study design and PC-II of Kachery Chowk in Rawalpindi for PKR 18.510 million
- Construction of Orthopedic Unit-II at Bahawal Victoria Hospital for PKR 599.702 million
- Urban Sewerage Scheme In Toba Tek Singh for PKR 655.019 million
- Construction of District Headquarters Hospital in Multan for PKR 1.669 billion
- Development of Phase-1 of sewerage system in Jhang for PKR 12.617 million
