Lahore: Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has granted approval to two development schemes in the health and roads sectors, with an estimated cost of PKR 8,399.933 million, a news source reported on June 22.

The 67th meeting of the PDWP for the fiscal year 2022-23 was held chaired by P&D Board Chairman Ali Sarfraz Hussain. During the meeting, the PPDWP approves two schemes:
- The dualization of the road from GT Road (Benazir Chowk) to Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (Wahndo Interchange) in District Gujranwala, at the total cost of PKR 7,811.240 million
- The provision of equipment for the 150-Bed Institute of Ophthalmology and Allied Vision Sciences at Nishtar, Multan (Revised), at a cost of PKR 588.693 million

P&D Board Secretary Sohail Anwar, along with all members of the P&D Board, provincial secretaries of relevant departments, and other senior representatives from the respective provincial departments, attended the meeting.
