Peshawar: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday (February 16) approved several projects for different sectors in the province, worth PKR 322,630 million, according to media reports.

As per the details, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Additional Chief Secretary Planning & Development (P&D) Department Shahab Ali Shah chaired the 15th meeting of PDWP. The meeting approved 37 projects related to Sports & Tourism, Higher Education, Energy & Power, Communication and Works, Rural Development, Local Government, Relief & Rehabilitation, Board of Revenue, and Health sectors. Here are the details about the approved projects:
- 500 KW mini-hydropower station at Shalozan, Khurram
- Three projects of 564-megawatts in Kalkot Barikot Patrak, Upper Dir, Patrak Shringal, and Kari, Chitral
- The institutionalisation of boys scout activities in the newly merged districts
- Development of degree colleges for girls in Mandani
- Establishment of degree colleges for boys at Naqeeb Khel, Tank
