Lahore: In its 27th meeting, the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved funds worth PKR 2.251 billion for completing five development schemes, reported a news source. The approved schemes are from various sectors including education and sanitation.

PDWP Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani chaired this meeting, while members of P&D Boards, P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo and senior representatives of the concerned departments also attended the meeting.

The approved funds are for following schemes:
- PKR 9.55 million for Institutional Strengthening Consultant for Institutional Reforms under Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Programme
- PKR 966.50 million for Sewerage and Drainage Scheme at Rahwali and adjoining abadis in District Gujranwala.
- PKR 611.495 million for construction of Cadet College at Khanpur in District Rahim Yar Khan
- PKR 500.576 million for rehabilitation of Hajipur Gujran Flood Protection Band in District Narowal
- PKR 162.885 million for protecting village abadis in Shahapur Changora, Chatri, Suko Chak, Negrota, Chakra, Fatehpur Gujran, Khosha and Gole from erosion in Being Nullah Shakargarh in Narowal
