Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Tuesday (March 29) approved development projects worth PKR 41 billion for the road, physical planning & housing, secondary healthcare & medical education sectors, according to news sources.

The 71st meeting of PDWP approved four projects worth PKR 6.25 billion for physical planning & housing, secondary healthcare & medical education sectors. The meeting also recommended six schemes, worth PKR 35.45 billion, for the road sector to be included in the next Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The following are the details of the projects cleared for inclusion in the upcoming PSDP:
- Dualisation of the road from Chiniot to Pindi Bhattian Interchange, at PKR 7.95 billion
- Widening and improvement of road from Mathial Chowk to Pindi Gheb City, Tehsil Jand, and Pindi Gheb, district Attock, at the cost of PKR 3.144 billion
- Construction of dual carriageway from old GT Road Gujrat to Lakhanwal, at the cost of PKR 8.8 billion
- Improvement and reconstruction of the road from Hafizabad to Khanqah Dogran, at the cost of PKR 1.9 billion
- Dualistaion of the road from Pind Dadan Khan, Choa Saidan Shah to Chakwal, at the estimated cost of 10 billion
- Construction and widening of road from Hafizabad to Alipur Chattha, at the total cost of PKR 3.03 billion
- Upgradation of Thalassemia Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant Centre at the Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur, at the cost of PKR 1.7 billion

- Comprehensive Water Supply Scheme for Kamalia City (revised), at the cost of PKR 455.162 million
- Extension and rehabilitation of urban sewerage scheme for Gojra (revised), at the total cost of PKR 450 million
- New Dhar Jawa Water Supply Scheme with New Tourist Spot of Dhirkot Spring Water Supply Scheme for Kotli Sattian and Augmentation of Water supply, drainage & sewerage system at Kahuta, Rawalpindi, at the cost of 3.5 billion
