Peshawar: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved 29 uplift schemes worth PKR 12.24 billion for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a news source reported.

PDWP sanctioned the schemes during a special meeting, which was presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash. Planning & Development Secretary Atif Rehman, along with district-level officers, also attended the meeting.
The participants reviewed 41 projects pertaining to the health, water, roads, urban development, local government, relief and rehabilitation, forestry, elementary and secondary education, and population welfare sectors.

The meeting rejected several proposals due to design issues, and returned it to the department concerned for rectification.
