Peshawar: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) recently approved 21 projects with an estimated worth of PKR 5,590.066 million, according to news sources. The PDWP sanctioned these schemes during a meeting; presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) Shakeel Qadir Khan.
A total of 26 projects were presented to the meeting attendees for their approval. These pertained to water, road infrastructure, health, sanitation, urban development, relief and rehabilitation, transportation, multi-sectoral development, science and technology, and industries sectors.

The meeting approved 21 projects, cleared one subject to the consideration of the Capital Development Working Party (CDWP)/Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) and deferred the remaining four.
The forum was attended by the PDWP members and concerned officials from various departments.

The approved water sector projects included the construction/enhancement of flood protection works, drains and roads in UCs of Baghi Irum, Manga, Kas Koroona, Khazana Dehri, Mahoderi, Chamtar, Bijlighar, Mohabat Abad, and Dagai.
