PDWP greenlights two major projects in Lahore, Multan

Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved two major infrastructure projects in Lahore and Multan, totalling PKR 5.17 billion, according to a news source on February 20.

In its 65th meeting for the fiscal year 2024-25, chaired by Chairman P&D Board Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, the PDWP sanctioned funding for:

Rainwater Management Drainage Arrangement at Nishtar Park Sports Complex (Qaddafi Stadium), Lahore, with an allocation of PKR 2.03 billion.
Replacement of the Outlived Sewer System in Multan (Phase II), aimed at improving the city’s drainage infrastructure.

The meeting was attended by Chief Economist Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officials.
