Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has provided its approval to the development of several schemes worth PKR 3.2 billion, including 11 road schemes for different areas of Karachi, a news source reported. These areas include Shah Faisal Town, Korangi, District Central, District West Kemari, and SITE Area.

Sindh Planning & Development Board Chairperson Naheed Shah Durrani presided over the PDWP meeting. In addition to the 11 road projects for Karachi, the meeting also approved three road schemes for Mirpurkhas, Matli, and Badin.
Following are some of the major projects approved in the meeting:
- Widening/reconditioning of Badin Sujawal Road from Bachal Water to KarioKhorwah in Badin
- Construction of Road 7000 from Vita Chowrangi to Road 4000 in Korangi
- Reconstruction/rehabilitation of storm water drain and internal road near Baloch Colony Bridge, Mehmood Abad in District East, Karachi
- Construction of Massan Road including District West’s pipe drain in Kemari, Karachi
- Rehabilitation/reconstruction of main track from Ghani Chowrangi to Hub River Road via the GCT College in District West, Karachi
- Reconditioning of road with asphalt from Mirpurkhas Bypass to Jhillori at Taluka Shujaabad in District Mirpurkhas

Further, the members of meeting stressed on strenuous efforts for the timely completion of the approved schemes.
