The decision to attend to the issues faced by the residents of Regi Model Town was taken in a meeting chaired by PDA Director General Zafar Ali Shah, which was attended by notable members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and important officials of the PDA.
The PDA chairman directed the officials concerned to accomplish various tasks on an urgent basis, including improving the security situation in Regi Model Town, providing transportation facilities, installing safe city cameras and arranging for the provision of other important utility services as well.
The meeting further decided that that other housing schemes and individuals would not be allowed to utilize the PDA’s main gas pipeline that was exclusively meant for Regi Model Town. This decision was taken in light of the fact that the society’s management had already made payments for gas connections to the PDA.
