Peshawar: The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has amended PDA Auction Regulation, 2021, to increase the lease period of various properties owned by the authority, news sources reported on December 27.

The plan was revealed during the 10th PDA board meeting held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan. The meeting also approved proposals for the uplift of its various properties on a public-private partnership financing model.
The following decisions were taken at the meeting:
- Amendments to the PDA Auction Regulation, 2021, for the enhanced lease of the existing lease period for various PDA-owned shops, open spaces, halls, commercial units, flats, parking lots, restaurants, cafes, sasta bazaars, wedding halls and filling stations etc.
- Revised budget estimates for 2021-22 and 2022-23 for PDA
- Revised logo of New Peshawar Valley
- Adoption of revised pay scale and allowances for PDA employees

The chief minister has asked the PDA officials to streamline their affairs to create a conducive environment for private investment and implement the development initiatives in an efficient and sustainable.
