Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Department Faisal Amin Khan Gandapur on Thursday (December 9) ordered Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) to resume work on the unfinished northern portion of Ring Road, according to news sources.

The minister stated that the PC-1 for the Ring Road’s remaining area should be approved quickly by the planning and development department. He went on to say that the land acquisition should be immediately completed by the local administration.
According to the minister, delays in the project will only increase the cost, which the government cannot afford. Keeping this in mind, Minister Gandapur ordered Peshawar District Administration to cooperate with PDA for the timely completion of the land acquisition process and construction of a new bus terminal.

Moreover, Minister Gandapur directed the relevant authorities to remove all the hurdles for the construction of the last portion of Hayatabad Detour Road. He also ordered the officials concerned to speed up the work on the development schemes without compromising the quality and pace of the projects.
