Peshawar: The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has handed over 350 kanals of land to its Land Directorate for the development of a sports complex in Regi Model Town, a news source reported today (July 23). In doing so, the authority acted upon the instructions issued by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan to this effect.

Earlier in June, the chief minister had directed all the concerned departments to finalise the plan on provision of civic amenities in Regi Model Town within 10 days, which included provision of electricity, gas, healthcare, recreational, and educational facilities. Responding to the CM’s directives, the departments and officials concerned sped up the process to address these issues.

The latest development in this regard is that the PDA Land Directorate got hold of the 350-kanal land for development of the sports directorate in Regi Model Town. Sources also claim that an official notification of land allocation for this facility has been issued. Not to mention that the chief minister had also issued directives in the past to provide modern sports facilities to the residents of Peshawar.
