Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has submitted a PC-I for the feasibility study of the urban regeneration project along Leh Expressway and Flood Channel for final approval, according to a news published on April 11.

Moreover, the authority has also submitted another PC-I for establishment of a management unit for Leh Expressway Project to initiate the bidding process. Both project concepts are estimated to worth PKR 23.7 million and PKR 104 million, respectively.
Reportedly, an RDA official has stated that Punjab Planning and Development Board reached out to the Planning and Development Working Party (PDWP) ‘coming week in Lahore for the approval of feasibility study of urban regeneration project’.

Furthermore, the official revealed that the provincial government wants to develop economic zones along the Leh Nullah and that the civic authority will launch a feasibility study in this regard. RDA also plans to bring investors on board to develop the area and construct commercial structures. It was also highlighted that the authority plans to develop new buildings.
In a related development, Prime Minister Imran Khan has reviewed the Leh Expressway project and directed the provincial government to expedite the development on it.
