Multan: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director (MD) has stated that a PC-1, worth PKR 37 billion for WASA’s water treatment megaproject, has been prepared and sent to the government, according to a news report. He said that considering the rapid growth in population and the resultant increase in need for clean water and a comprehensive sewerage system, WASA’s master plan until 2040 is ready and its implementation has begun.
Under the master plan, to secure the underground water from being polluted with sewerage water, a megaproject of waste water treatment plant and sludge carrier worth PKR 37 billion has been planned and work on the project has begun.
