Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has prepared the project concept (PC)-1 for the construction of five flyovers, including the Firdous Market Flyover, in the city – a news source reported. The orders to this effect were recently given by the Punjab government.

As per details, the cost estimate for development of these five mega infrastructure projects stands at PKR 11.83 billion. The planned flyovers include two flyovers in Shahdara, the Sheranwala Gate Flyover, a flyover connecting Barkat Market and Campus Pul.

The construction of two flyovers in Shahdara is estimated to cost PKR 5.4 billion. The development cost of Sheranwala Flyover is estimated at PKR 3.1 billioon, while that in Firdous Market and the one near the Punjab University’s Campus Pull is projected to cost PKR 1.5 billion and 1.83 billion respectively.

In addition to developing the above-mentioned projects, the civic agency has also announced its decision to rehabilitate and carpet nine roads in the city. These include the road connecting Samanabad Gol Chakar, Link Muslim Road in Samanabad, and roads in Fatehgarh and Bagh Gul Begum.
