Lahore: The governing body of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday approved the PC-1 for the LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments project during a meeting — a news source reported. The body also finalised its decisions on a number of matters pertaining to the allowances set for provision to the employees of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), the Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning Agency (TEPA), and the LDA.

The meeting approved the following matters relating to LDA City and LDA City apartments:
- Amendment in layout plan of LDA City
- Construction of LDA City apartments in Mauza Halloki
- The name for these apartments, which will be LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments
- Approval of method for acquisition of requisite land for the apartments
- The five categories of apartments to be constructed; ranging in size between 650 sq ft and 2,200 sq ft.
In order to encourage construction activity, the governing body decided to provide provisional approvals at the time of submission of layouts for buildings up to the height of three storeys constructed with the use of pillars. The relaxation in the regulations will remain in place for the next six months.

Additionally, the meeting approved receipt of license fee payments for multi-storey buildings in four equal quarterly instalments.
The meeting was chaired by LDA Deputy Chairman S M Imran, while LDA Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar briefed the meeting about developments on decisions taken during the previous meeting of the governing body.
