Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sent Project Concept-1 (PC-1) of rehabilitation of Burki Road, Babu Sabu and Sagian Road to the Punjab government for approval, a news source reported July 12. The net worth of these project concepts is PKR 1.3 billion.
According to details, the LDA has forwarded the PC-1 of reconstruction and rehabilitation of Burki Road and Babu Sabu Road to Punjab Secretary Housing while the plan for construction of Sagian Road has been sent to Planning & Development (P&D) for approval. The LDA Engineering Wing has estimated the rehabilitation of Sagian Interchange and Road at PKR 750 million. The PC-1 of the project will be approved by the Planning and Development Working party (PDWP).
Moreover, the construction of roads around Babu Sabu is estimated to cost PKR 240 million, with the dualisation of Burki Road estimated to cost PKR 400 million. As per the stated rules, the Secretary of Housing approves PC-1s for any projects that’s worth over PKR 500 million.
