Multan: Commissioner Shan-ul-Haq has ordered expedition of the development schemes and issued instructions for the rapid formation of the PC-I for the new development schemes in the city, according to news sources.
The commissioner also directed the relevant departments to focus on public welfare and transparency in the development of these projects. He made these remarks while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects.

The commissioner said that the provincial government has issued funds for the completion of various schemes and called for the department working on such projects to ensure transparent utilization of released funds.
He assured that his office will corporate fully with district bodies to facilitate the proposed development and launch of new schemes.

The meeting was also informed by the Director Development Waqas Khan Khakwani that for the 405 ongoing development projects, a sum of PKR 5.31 billion has been released. Of this sum, PKR 2.76 billion has been already utilized. Similarly, PKR 1.34 billion have been released for55 new development schemes, of which PKR 600 million have been spent.
