Under the first category, 1,560 apartments will be constructed which will be auctioned ‘to meet the project cost’.
Similarly, under the second category, 400 low-cost apartments in Alipur Farash will be constructed for people living in shanty settlements – especially the slum dwellers of Sector F-6 and F-7.

The final 2,000 apartments of the final category in Alipur Farash will be allotted to the people belonging to the low-income segments of the society and are registered with Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NPHDA).
It is reported that the civic authority has been working for years to shift the shanty settlements’ dwellers from the city to a designated housing project – but hasn’t yet been able to realize the plan.
