Islamabad: The federal government on Thursday launched a supplementary payment solution for the Ehsaas Emergency Programme, a news source reported. The aim of the solution is to facilitate those Ehsaas beneficiaries who are facing issues with biometric identification from NADRA.

According to details, the Ehsaas supplementary payment solution would allow applicant to withdraw cash without biometric verification. Under this arrangement, the Ehsaas beneficiaries can visit:
- Habib Bank Limited in Punjab, Sindh, & Balochistan
- Bank Alfalah in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit Baltistan (GB), & Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK)
Sources have revealed that the departments concerned would send out text messages to beneficiaries facing biometric verification issues. They added that the messages would contain:
- Beneficiary name & CNIC number
- Date of receiving payment
- Name of designated bank with addresses of bank branches to withdraw money

The sources stated that the process of sending out messages in a phased manner was underway. They added that beneficiaries are required to carry their original CNICs and mobile phones containing the payment messages to collect their funds from the banks.
