Islamabad: Pakistan Agriculture Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO) Ltd has decided to construct storage facilities in various districts of Sindh, including Tandu Allah Yar, Sanghar, Umer Kot and Mirpur Khas, reported a news source. The storage facilities are meant for stocking wheat, which is prone to getting expired in these regions.
In this regard, PASSCO has formally asked the district administration of the mentioned cities to provide land for storage facilities. Reportedly, these cities have ample government land available to construct warehouses. Please note that the project falls in the jurisdiction of Federal Government of Pakistan.
PASSCO needs more land in the country to store wheat and it is working with the district administrators to acquire land.
