The paperless system is a major step towards automation with regard to the issuance of driving licence via a one-window facility to the citizens. The system would also be usable for licence renewal and issuance of a learner’s licence.
Under the new system, applicants will only have to bring their original CNICs and fee and will not require tickets, photos, or filling of any forms.

PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor stated that the new system would ensure transparency, prevent issuance of fake licences, and reduce the influence of agent mafia. He added that the system is only available in Rawalpindi district. PITB will soon launch it in other districts of Punjab, he said.
