Islamabad: To control high pollen count in the capital, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to cut down mulberry trees in sectors G-6, G-7, G-8, F-9, and F-10, reported a news report source. The CDA Director Irfan Niazi has said that work on this would start after seeking approval from Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) for cutting down these trees.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) is monitoring this pollen count, and has also installed various monitoring devices. Previous data shows that an extremely high pollen count is observed during first week of March, while relatively less during July.
